My name is Thelma. I’ve been working as a senior supervising social worker with Amicus Foster Care for the past eight years.
I qualified as a social worker in 1994. Since then I have worked with children, young people and their families in various settings, in both local authority and the independent sector; part of the time as a youth worker. There are many reasons why I enjoy working with Amicus Foster Care; the staff and carers are a special group of people who hold children and young people in the centre of all that we do, and the care provided is of a high standard. We arrange great activities for the children, young people and their carers. Amicus is a place where people of all ages make genuine and profound connections which will last a life time. Amicus is a forward thinking agency and there are plenty of opportunities for development and growth for all. I have completed DDP Levels 1 and 2 and feel excited about what the future holds.
I have many interests; I love to travel, listen to music, spend time with friends and family, to paint, draw and go to art galleries and exhibitions.
Looking forward to meeting you!
