Amicus Foster Care would like to extend a very warm welcome to the newest member of their team Lewis Cook.
Lewis joins the Administration team in the position of full-time Placements Officer. He comes to us with a wealth of knowledge/expertise in the administration arena as his previous roles included working at Babington (Apprenticeship provider) looking after the accounts, digital marketing as well as all day to day administration. Lewis also held the role of Project Support Administrator for Public Health England which required him to draw on his writing skills for producing bulletins and the minutes from public meetings.
Asked what attracted him to a role in fostering Lewis said, “I wanted my next position to be in public service but more importantly to be a role I could be proud of”.
He also said, “I am looking forward to being part of the team, mastering the job and making an impact especially to the lives of young people Amicus support”.
Born and bred in Bristol Lewis left the city to complete a degree in Media Performance at Glamorgan University. On finishing this, he moved to London to pursue his dream of writing. Success followed with commissions from Radio 4 for the show Dead Ringers.
13 years later he returns from London with his partner Lucy to find a home and settle back into Bristol life.
When Lewis is not working, he loves to write and spend quality time with Lucy.
